An Electronics Production Engineer is required to work in a design liaison role with Manufacturing and R&D personnel before and after product commercialisation of electronic assemblies.
Ensuring that design issues pertaining to the manufacture of these assemblies are addressed.
Working with CTS field and project engineers to optimise the product for field operations and maintenance.
Design review circuits and assemblies which have been identified as problematic or inefficient.
Track electronic reliability of circuits, sub-assemblies and assemblies and report on same.
Where systematic problems are observed in above, propose modifications and work with R&D personnel on same.
Maintain a watching brief on the use and rationalisation of test equipment such that appropriate test equipment, including special test boxes and tools, are consistently available to all technical staff (worldwide).
Work with Project Engineers to identify test equipment requirements for technical staff, field staff and customers from an early stage in each project.
Design suitable test equipment where required.
Regular review of the use of electronic components and circuitry and work with Design Engineers to rationalise where appropriate.This will include proposing the use of generic specifications and alternatives to problematic or obsolete components.
Liaison with design engineers to ensure that all information, e.g. a technical manual, is complete and contains relevant information at the required technical level.
Preparation of build and test procedures.
Preparation of test processes and equipment for testing of PCB assemblies.
