Senior Electronic EngineerA position is available for a Senior Electronic Engineer to spearhead the development of electronic instrumentation and sensor systems for downhole tools which will operate in the extreme environments found in oil wells. Our designs must work in corrosive fluids, pressures of 1000 atmospheres and temperatures above 150C. Candidates must be able to demonstrate excellent organisational abilities to complement their technical skills, and be able to work with other engineers and scientists as part of a team. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate strong inter-personal skills consistent with a leadership position. Registration with APEGGA or ASET would be an advantage. Specific areas of your technical expertise should include: General: Sondex Oilfield Technology is a recently acquired business specialising in the design of manufacture of oil and gas instrumentation. Candidate must currently possess all the necessary work and residency permits to work in Canada. If currently a GE employee, you must have been in your current position for at least 6 months (hourly) or 12 months (salaried) and have at least a satisfactory performance rating. The United States has regulations that govern the hiring of current or former US government employees.
