Procedure for returning tools to Sondex Drilling

RETURNING GOODS FOR REPAIR OR AFTER COMPLETION OF RENTAL PERIOD
 
Goods for repair returned by Courier, Air Freight or Surface Transport

Air and Surface Freight goods should be returned c/o your nominated agent in the UK. For goods coming from non-EU countries please ask your agent to contact Alan Huggins for clearance details under our IPR (Inwards Processing Relief) authorisation. If you do not yet have a nominated agent in the UK please contact us for advice.
 
The following information must be clearly provided on the Commercial Invoice.
 
1) The reason for returning the goods to the United Kingdom.
2) Whether the goods are to be returned to the client after assessment or repair. 
3) A full description of all items, including distinguishing serial numbers. 
4) A commercial value for customs purposes.  
5) The words FOR THE ATTENTION OF ALAN HUGGINS, CUSTOMER SUPPORT.
 
All items should be clearly marked as being for service or repair with a complete description of the fault condition and the work required.
 
Rental or loan goods returned by By Courier, Air Freight or Surface Transport
 
As these items will be brought back into the UK customs cleared against proof of  export, please, PRIOR TO DISPATCH, contact Stan Milne (with a draft commercial invoice) for instruction on:

Stan will advise on any changes to your export documentation required to facilitate proper clearance at the UK port of entry. This will speed the import process and prevent  unnecessary clearance, storage and rental charges.
 
The draft commercial invoice should show:
 
1) The reason for returning the goods to the United Kingdom.
2) Whether the goods are to be returned to the client after assessment or repair. 
3) A full description of all items, including distinguishing serial numbers. 
4) Original Geolink Sales Order number(s) and your original Purchase Order number. 
5) A commercial value for customs purposes.  
6) The words FOR THE ATTENTION OF STAN MILNE, GEOLINK RENTALS.

Hazardous or Dangerous Goods (Lithium Batteries for disposal):
 
A shippers Declaration for Dangerous Goods and a Commercial Invoice should be drafted and forwarded to Geolink for verification prior to dispatch. 
 
Depleted Lithium battery shipments for recycling should be packed and shipped according to the appropriate international regulations (follow this link for the safety data sheet) and should be delivered to our door free and clear of import duties, tax, etc. We will only accept batteries for recycling on this basis and we will not undertake customs clearance on these shipments.
