The Memory Interface Programming (MIP) kit is used to programme memory tools – data upload and download interface.
Description
The MIP kit enables the logging engineer to programme and download data from Sondex memory sections (MPL & UMT). The kit includes a Memory Control Unit (MCU), a mains power adaptor & connecting cables to the memory section, laptop and battery housing. The MCU module connects the Sondex memory section to any computer running Windows 2000®/Windows XP®/Windows Vista® via a USB port.
The MCU can be connected to mains power supply or the logging tool battery pack. When connected directly to the battery pack the MCU checks the status and condition – indicating if the voltage is low and automatically depassifying the battery when necessary - ensuring that it is ready for the logging operation.
